The Christmas Box was written by Richard Paul Evans and became a national best selling book. The story is about a woman who mourns the loss of her child at the base of an angel monument. While the book is predominantly fiction the angel statue in the book once existed. Through reports of parents seeking out the statue described in the book Mr. Evans commissioned a new statue be built to replace the one that was described in the book and thought to have been destroyed. It was dedicated on December 6, 1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah – corresponding with the date of the child’s death in the book.
Our Mission is to bring the Angel of Hope Statue to the state of Kansas for parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, siblings to find the peace they seek out in the arms of the child angel.
